January Movie

So we've had a good first few weeks. She is a sleeping star and is starting to try to talk a little bit. We have been taking a lot of pictures (most of them are terrible) and a few movies so I could not resist making another movie. Thanks for humoring me.

Momma Said Knock You Out

We are putting Penelope through the paces early, getting her boxing skills honed before she can even hold her head up -- it looks to me like her right hook is coming along nicely.

Outfits With Ears

One of the best things about having a newborn in winter is the adorable outfits that have ears on top. Here are a couple of shots of Penelope in one of those outfits from one of her grandmas on one of our (very few) outdoor adventures.

Who Says Newborns Don't Smile?

I've heard it said that newborns don't smile, but I would beg to differ and have the video evidence to back me up. On Penelope's third day of life, while we were still in the hospital, Ben and I took a video of her in her little bassinet. We were just shooting to have video and had no expectation that she would do anything in particular, so you can imagine our surprise and excitement when she smiled at us while the camera was actually rolling. Anyway, attached is an excerpt of that video, all gussied up in my directorial debut. It's short, but we hope you enjoy it!
